Health and Nutrition Resources

Sahuarita’s Food & Nutrition Department would like to provide our consumers with credible, accurate, and practical resources about health and nutrition. These resources will help answer questions that most often get asked.

One size doesn’t fit all. MyPlate offers personalized eating plans, interactive tools to help you plan and assess your food choices, and advice to help you.

This user-friendly website from USDA’s Food and Nutrition Information Center  has a very large range of information for consumers. They cover more than 70 topics including Child Nutrition and Health, Dietary Guidelines, Food Safety, Heart Health, and General Nutrition. The site also provides access to a variety of food and nutrition publications that are mostly full-text and specifically geared to answer the questions consumers most often ask.

Nutrition.gov provides easy access to the best food and nutrition information from across the federal government. Users can find practical information on healthy eating, dietary supplements, fitness and how to keep food safe.
