REQUEST FOR ARGUMENTS
“FOR” OR “AGAINST” THE SPECIAL ELECTION
SAHUARITA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 30
Sahuarita Unified School District No. 30 of Pima County, Arizona (the “District”), will hold a special district additional assistance budget override election (formerly known as a capital outlay budget override election) on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. The District seeks authorization to exceed its district additional assistance budget by the lesser of $1,000,000 or 10% of its revenue control limit. The estimated first year tax rate for the proposed district additional assistance budget override is $0.25 per $100 of net assessed valuation used for secondary property tax purposes. The Pima County School Superintendent will be preparing an informational pamphlet that will be mailed to households containing one or more registered electors within the District. Any persons wishing to submit an argument “for” or “against” the district additional assistance budget override question (not to exceed 200 words) may do so by mail or hand delivery of the argument to the Pima County School Superintendent’s office, 200 N. Stone Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85701; telephone: (520) 724-8451.
To be included in the informational pamphlet, such argument must be received in the office of the Pima County School Superintendent on or before 5:00 p.m., August 12, 2022. Such argument must be signed and include the name of the District, the author’s name, the name of any entity submitting an argument, address and telephone number. If the argument is submitted by a political committee, it shall contain the sworn statement of the committee’s chairperson or treasurer. If the argument is submitted by an individual and not on behalf of an organization, a political committee or any other group, the person shall submit the argument with a sworn, notarized statement. The entity and author’s name will be printed in the informational pamphlet. The last day to register to vote in order to be eligible to vote in this election is Monday, October 10, 2022. “A FAVOR” O “EN CONTRA” DE LA ELECCIÓN ESPECIAL
DISTRITO ESCOLAR UNIFICADO NÚM. 30 DE SAHUARITA
El Distrito Escolar Unificado Núm. 30 de Sahuarita del Condado de Pima, Arizona, (el “Distrito”), celebrará una elección especial de aumento al presupuesto de asistencia adicional del distrito (anteriormente conocida como una elección de aumento del presupuesto de desembolso de capital) el martes 8 de noviembre de 2022. El Distrito solicita autorización para exceder su presupuesto de asistencia adicional del distrito en lo que sea menor de $1,000,000 o 10% de su límite de control de ingresos. La tasa de impuestos estimada para el primer año del aumento propuesto al presupuesto de asistencia adicional del distrito es de $0.25 por $100 de la valoración tasada neta utilizada para propósitos de impuestos secundarios sobre la propiedad. El Superintendente de Escuelas del Condado de Pima preparará un folleto informativo que se enviará por correo a los hogares que cuenten con uno o más electores registrados dentro del Distrito. Para que el argumento sea incluido en el folleto informativo, este debe recibirse en la oficina del Superintendente de Escuelas del Condado de Pima a más tardar el 12 de agosto de 2022, a las 5:00 p. m. Dicho argumento debe firmarse e incluir el nombre del Distrito, el nombre del autor, el nombre de cualquier entidad que presente un argumento, la dirección y número de teléfono. Si el argumento es presentado por un comité político, deberá contener la declaración jurada del presidente o tesorero del comité. Si el argumento es presentado por una persona y no en nombre de una organización, un comité político o algún otro grupo, la persona deberá presentar el argumento con una declaración jurada notariada. El nombre del autor y la entidad se imprimirán en el folleto informativo. El último día para registrarse para sufragar, con el fin de ser elegible para votar en esta elección, es el lunes 10 de octubre de 2022.
