Participants will gain an understanding of diverse student identities with a focus on LGBTQ+, poverty-impacted, and cultural minority individuals. Designed for teachers, counselors, and administrators, participants will identify and confront potential biases and generalizations to advance understanding of student experiences. Resources and discussion focus on creating inclusive curricula, with examples of classroom content, case study discussion, and model strategies to support student socio-emotional learning as well as academic outcomes.
