Maintenance & Operations Override

On November 3, 2026, Sahuarita USD voters will vote whether or not to adopt Proposition 428. This will decide whether or not the district’s long-standing, community-supported Maintenance & Operations (M&O) Override will continue.

The override provides funding beyond the state’s base education funding formula and helps support:

Instruction & Academics

Smaller Class Sizes Teacher Compensation Career & Technical Education (CTE)

Student Support & Staffing

School Counselors Instructional Support Staff

Athletics, Activities, & Fine Arts

Band, Orchestra, Choir, & General Music Athletics & Physical Education (PE) NJROTC

School Facilities & Campus Services

Security Staff Facility Services Staff

No Tax Rate Increase

This Override is not a new tax.
It continues existing funding voters have supported for years.

$23 Average Monthly Cost

The average homeowner will continue to pay approximately $23 per month based on the current average assessed value of $210,790.
