Manny Gomez and Luis Arevalo, students in Walden Grove High School’s Career & Technical Education-Film and TV course, competed in the 2016 SkillsUSA State Championships in Phoenix. In the digital cinema competition, students had to create a 3 minute video on the spot. Out of 25 teams from across Arizona, Manny and Luis were awarded a Gold Medal (1st place) and earned a spot at the SkillsUSA National Competition.
