Google Classroom - Apps on Google Play

SHS teachers use Google Classroom to share content and communicate with students. Google Classroom is not a traditional website, but it does compare to traditional Learning Management Systems. Classroom allows teachers to post announcements and assignments, ask questions, share resources, create a calendar of due dates in a secure online location, and more. Google Classroom helps teachers and students manage workflow and organize digital activities. 

Google Classroom Guardian

As a guardian, you can receive email summaries. Teachers from your child’s school can send these invitations to your email. You can choose the frequency of the emails, such as daily or weekly.
You can unsubscribe or remove yourself from the Classroom at any time.

Guardian email summaries include:

  • Missing work—Work that’s late at the time the email was sent
  • Upcoming work—Work that’s due today and tomorrow (for daily emails) or work that’s due in the upcoming week (for weekly emails)
  • Class activity—Announcements, assignments, and questions recently posted by teachers
