WGHS Principal Announces Retirement

Dr. Teresa Hill to retire as Principal of Walden Grove High School

Dr. Teresa Hill announced her decision to retire from the Sahuarita Unified School District after 29 years of distinguished service to public education that included eleven years as the principal of Walden Grove High School. Dr. Hill’s retirement will be effective on January 10, 2022. 

As the founding principal of Walden Grove High School, Dr. Hill led the charge for building a strong culture of collaboration focused on shared goals both within the school and between the school and the community. Under Dr. Hill’s visionary leadership, WGHS students were equipped with the essential skills all high school graduates need in order to flourish in an exceedingly competitive world. During her tenure as principal, Dr. Hill oversaw the implementation of many landmark initiatives and awards at Walden Grove.

Dr. Hill is looking forward to spending more time with her family during her retirement and continuing to be at the helm of furthering quality educational opportunities for all children. Mrs. Kristen Miller will serve as interim principal of Walden Grove until further determinations are made about the permanent appointment of a new WGHS principal.
