An introduction to the 6 Traits of Writing (Ideas & Content, Organization, Voice, Word Choice, Sentence Fluency, and Conventions). This in-service will cover understanding criteria for each of the traits, sample lessons for teaching the traits to students, and a working understanding of how to use analytical rubrics for formative assessment. Participants will also make connections from the 6 Traits to the writing process and the SUSD Writing Initiative
