Parent Portal Create an Account Instructions

PowerSchool is the school district’s electronic student management system where student information is collected and stored. The Portal is the “doorway” into the system giving parents access to information about their children. To access the portal to view your child’s grades, pay student fees, and complete your child’s returning student registration each year, you will need to create an account with PowerSchool.

To log in for the first time:

  1. Access the Parent or Student Portal. Open a web browser to the PowerSchool Parent Portal using this web address: https://susd30.powerschool.com/public/

  19. Create an Account. Once in the Parent or Student Portal, you will need to create an account.

      4. Select the “Create Account” tab. In the ‘Create Parent/Guardian Account’ section, fill in all of the boxes, including your newly created username and password (at least 8 characters).

  27. Add your students. Use the Access ID and Access Password for each of your students to link them to your account.
    1. Link a student to the Powerschool parent portal account. Student Name, Access ID, Access Password, and RelationshipYou must know the Access ID and Access Password for PowerSchool for each child’s account. If you do not know the Access ID and Access Password, please contact your child’s school for assistance. Choose the Relationship you are with the child. Click Enter to create your new account.

 

 

 

Make sure you type the LOGIN ID and Password correctly, both fields are CASE SENSITIVE.

  1. Login to the Parent Portal. You will now need to login to the system using your new username and password. Use the Login box at the top of the screen to login https://susd30.powerschool.com/public/ 
    1. PowerSchool Parent Portal navigation You now have the names of your children along the top tabs under the PowerSchool logo. To view each child’s grades and attendance click on the child’s name and the grades/attendance will appear for that child.

    3. To change your username or password OR to add additional children to your account click on the Account Preferences button at the bottom of the list in the left margin. The window will open in Profile view and allow you to change your username or password.
    4. To add more children to your account, click on the Students tab and click on Add. Enter the student information and click Submit.
