We are excited to inform you that SUSD and the University of Arizona have partnered to create a unique program to support you in reaching this goal. Through the SUSD/UA Fellows Program, you will receive support to reaching this goal, and be compensated throughout the process!

Completion of Student Teaching in Sahuarita USD | $ 400 Stipend |
Completion of 1st Year teaching in Sahuarita USD | $ 400 Stipend |
Completion of 2nd Year teaching in Sahuarita USD | $ 600 Stipend |
Completion of 3rd Year teaching in Sahuarita USD | $1000 Stipend |
TOTAL COMPENSATION | $4800 Stipend |
The SUSD Fellows Program can help you attain your goal of being a teacher in the Sahuarita Unified School District. SUSD/Arizona Teaching Fellows is a unique program offered through a partnership between the University of Arizona and Sahuarita Unified School District. Students in the program work closely with one partnering school district throughout their teacher preparation program, completing all of the fieldwork in that district with one or more mentor teachers who are also dedicated to working with children and adolescents in Southern Arizona
How do you become an Arizona Teaching Fellow? Select the option that applies to you.
Once you are ADMITTED to a teacher preparation program AND YOU APPLY to the Teaching Fellows Program, the districts will interview interested applicants and will select the Fellows for their districts.
