Our Student Council serves as “the voice of the students,” and is a service oriented organization open to second grade students.
Each class has 2-3 representatives and students are voted by their classmates based on who will be responsible and respectful representatives. These members give their time and talents to various school projects and fundraisers such as landscaping, toy and food drives, and creating spirit days.
We partake in two fundraisers a year. Monies raised are used for various things such as buying books for the library, bringing in performers, buying popcorn for Lighted School Houses, and more.
Being an SPS Student Council Member helps students learn responsibility and we look forward to a new group of members!
For more information, please contact Ms. Osborn and/or Mrs. D’agostino.
The Walking Club is designed for children in second grade. The program offers an opportunity to meet during recess to walk the designated Walking Club track. The program increases student’s fitness awareness, builds self-esteem, self-discipline and good fellowship.

2nd Grade Choir
Our choir meets before school one to two days/week to rehearse for OWL Assembly presentations and other school and district music events throughout the year. All second grade students who are willing to dedicate time to attending practices and concerts are welcome and no auditions are needed.
